There is fresh air in the forest, a lot of pleasant impressions. Children will see a lot of new things in this natural corner, and adults will be able to see something hitherto unseen. For a walk to be positive, you need to properly prepare for it.
Which way to head
It is important to choose the right place for walking. Better if it is familiar. You can go to the array that stretches around your summer cottage, or go to where you have been more than once.
You need to focus on the age of the tourists. If they are children, the route should be short, and the forest should be clean, not dense. A birch grove, spruce, pine plantings are suitable. In such places, the air is saturated with oxygen and the forest is clean. You cannot go into windbreaks with children, it will be very tiring for young travelers. Many adults, too, are unlikely to experience delight, climbing over a fallen tree or trying to storm it from below, crawl on their bellies.
After the direction is chosen, the route is indicated on the map, its length is calculated, you can collect it in a short hike.
What you need to take with you
Those who nevertheless decide to wander into an unfamiliar forest for a walk should have a map of the area with them. It will help you navigate. You also need to take a compass and learn how to use it before walking in the fresh air. To do this, remove the arrow from the safety catch, stand so that the blue one looks to the north, the red one to the south. Determine which direction you need to go and where to return.
The navigator is a very useful innovation, take it with you too. If there is no special device, you can download the application to your phone. But do not forget that it can be discharged or fail, so it is better to take 2 devices. They will help not only determine the place of stay, but also reunite the members of the group if someone lags behind.
In the warm season, there are many mosquitoes outside the city, so take cream and spray from these blood-sucking ones with you to the forest. You also need to beware of ticks. For these insects, there are also special products that are applied to the skin or clothing. Ticks live in spruce forests, in tall grass. If you go to the forest where these conditions exist, put on hats, hide your hair under them. The collar of the windbreaker should be high, the trousers should be tucked into the boots. The latter will help not only against insects, but also during an unwanted meeting with snakes, which are also found in some forests.
Zelenka, hydrogen peroxide, bandage will also not be superfluous, like water, matches, sandwiches, crackers.
The task of the hike
Before taking a walk in the woods, decide what purpose you are heading for. If you pick mushrooms, then it is better to plan a trip to nature in August-September. You can collect the herbarium from mid-April until the beginning of the snow.
If you want to feast on strawberries, walk through forest glades in late June - mid-July. At the same time, blueberries ripen. You will return from walks in August with lingonberries, in October with cranberries.
The forest is beautiful at any time of the year. After visiting this natural temple, people are saturated with oxygen, come with flowers, berries, mushrooms. But do not forget that this place can become dangerous if you do not properly prepare for the hike.
