It is not surprising to get lost in the forest thicket, and in order to get out of there, you need to know a few tricks. When going on a hunt, fishing or mushroom-berry hunting, do not forget the compass at home. If you accidentally fought off the company, do not panic - they will find you! It will be more difficult for a person who finds himself in such a situation alone.
Instructions
Step 1
Finding that the place where you are is completely unfamiliar to you, you do not observe the landmarks along which you walked, stop and do no more rash actions. Remember when and where you saw a special sign or a familiar stretch of path. Try and remember from which side the sun was shining then. You can walk a little in the calculated direction in the hope of finding a lost road.
Step 2
If this option did not work, listen - you can hear a railway, highway or a working tractor 3-4 kilometers away. Shout, in between, listen to see if someone will answer you. The barking of a dog is carried by 2-3 kilometers. Smell the air - you can catch the smoke from the fire.
Step 3
Try to find sources of water, the stream will lead you to the river, and the river to the people.
Step 4
Try to climb a tall tree, you can see buildings, pipes, and other familiar landmarks. But be very careful with "tree climbing", any injury in your situation can become fatal.
Step 5
Look for an abandoned road, it can lead you to civilization. If you come across several paths, choose the most well-trodden one.
Step 6
Roughly imagining where you are, you need to determine the cardinal points in order to choose the direction of movement. The North can be found by the Pole Star. It is large and bright, but you can only see it on a clear night.
Step 7
On the clock, you can determine the direction, focusing on the sun. Divide the distance between 1 and the hour hand, which points to the Sun, in half. If you draw a mental line from the center of the clock through this point, its end will point to the south.
Step 8
Find the mossy side of the trees - this is north. Anthills, on the other hand, usually stand on the south side of the tree.
Step 9
In order not to get lost completely, leave notches. Choose new landmarks so that you can return to the starting position for further searches in the right direction.
