Kirovsk is a city located in the very center of the Kola Peninsula, 205 kilometers south of Murmansk. You can get there by plane, train or car.

Step 1
The fastest and most convenient way to get to Kirovsk is by plane. There is no airport in Kirovsk, so you will have to fly to the city of Apatity or Murmansk. Direct flights to the city of Apatity are operated by RusLine airlines, and to Murmansk - by Rossiya, Nord Avia, RusLine, and UTair.
There are several ways to get from Murmansk airport to Kirovsk:
1. Order a taxi, the journey will take 2, 5-3 hours.
2. Get to the railway station in Murmansk and then by the nearest train to the station Apatity-1. You will spend about 4-5 hours on the way.
3. Get to the bus station. The bus station and railway station in Murmansk are nearby. Then take a minibus or bus to Kirovsk. Travel time 3-4, 5 hours.
In order to get from Apatity airport to Kirovsk, you first need to take a bus 20 minutes to the city and then another 20 minutes by bus or by taxi to Kirovsk.
Step 2
If your time is not very limited, then you can get to Kirovsk by train. It should be noted that there is no railway station in Kirovsk, so a ticket must be taken to the Apatity-1 station. The road from Moscow takes about one and a half days. You can get from the railway station to Kirovsk by bus or by route taxi №131. There is another option: from the station it will be necessary to get by bus # 8 to the center of Apatity, namely, to the stop "Sever store". Next, you will need to change to a bus or route taxi number 102, 128 or 135 and get to Kirovsk. The easiest, but also the most expensive option is to take a taxi and go from the railway station of the city of Apatity to Kirovsk.
Step 3
Kirovsk can also be reached from Moscow by car. You can get there by two routes:
- Along the highway to St. Petersburg to Chudovo, then through Kirishi and Volkhov to Novaya Ladoga, then go to the highway "St. Petersburg-Murmansk", along which to get to Kirovsk.
- Along the Yaroslavskoe highway to Vologda (highway M8), then in the direction to Vytegra along the P-5 Vologda-Medvezhyegorsk highway, then along the St. Petersburg-Murmansk highway to the city of Kirovsk. This option, in comparison with the first, will save 200 kilometers.
