Step 1
First of all, check your passport. It must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of return from the trip.
Step 2
Take care of the visa application. To do this, follow the link https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ and fill out the electronic application. Step 3
Purchase tickets. This can be done on the airline's website or on one of the specialized sites for the sale of air tickets. Direct flights of Aeroflot and Delta Air Lines fly from Moscow to the USA. The cost ranges from 21,000 rubles, excluding discounts and special offers. Travel time will be about 11 hours. It all depends on the destination. Also, you can fly to America through European air hubs with British Airways, KLM, Bmi, Finnair, Scandinavian Airlines, Lufthansa and others.
Step 4
Book your hotel. Visit the hotel website or one of the websites of international booking systems. Print your voucher.
Step 5
Take care of your medical insurance policy. Its duration should be slightly longer than the duration of your stay in the United States.
Step 6
On the plane you will be given an I-94 Arrival / Departure Record (white card) to fill out. Indicate the name of the hotel in which you will be staying, the dates and the purpose of the visit. When you arrive, the immigration officer will set the length of your permitted stay in the United States. Keep this pass in your passport until the end of your trip. Return it to the border guards on the way back.
Step 7
To go through customs, present your baggage and declaration at the request of the customs inspector. If you bring more than $ 10,000 in cash into the country, be sure to declare the full amount.
Step 8
Please be aware that it is prohibited to bring food into the United States of America. You can have no more than 1 liter of alcohol and 1 block of cigarettes with you.
