To visit Switzerland, a Schengen visa is required. If your goal is precisely tourism in Switzerland, then it is better to get a visa at the consulate of this country. In general, according to the rules, a Schengen visa is made to the country in which you plan to spend the most time during your trip. If the number of days is approximately the same in all countries of the Schengen area, then a visa is made to the country of entry. You will need the following documents for a visa to Switzerland.

Step 1
Passport valid for at least 90 days after the end of your trip. It must have at least two free pages. Make a photocopy of the personal data page, as well as copies of all pages with Schengen visas, if you have received them before. If you have old passports with Schengen visas, then attach them, and also make photocopies of the pages with personal data and visas, as well as from the current passport.
Step 2
Visa application form completed and printed. You can fill out in English, German, Italian and French. It is possible to fill out the form online, but you can do it manually. After you fill out and print the form, you will need to sign it.

Attach two color photographs, 35x45 mm. On the reverse side of one of them, write the number of the passport, and the other stick to the questionnaire.

If you drive your car, you will need a registration certificate, a copy of the Green Card insurance policy, as well as an international driver's license. Confirmation of hotel reservations for the entire trip. Printouts from websites, faxes, originals and photocopies of booking documents are suitable. If you are traveling on a private visit, please attach the original invitation from the host (copies will not be accepted). For the invitation, you will need to indicate what kind of relationship connects you and the host. You can also attach vouchers from travel companies if you have purchased a tour to the country.
Step 6
Certificate from the place of work, which should indicate your position, salary, contact details of the accountant's managers. The certificate is certified by the official seal of the enterprise. An individual entrepreneur should attach a certificate of registration and tax registration, as well as an original certificate in the form 2-NDFL or 3-NDFL and an extract from the Unified Register of Entrepreneurs (USRIP). Students attach certificates from educational institutions, pensioners - copies of pension certificates.
Step 7
Account statement, on which there must be an amount of at least CHF 100 per adult or CHF 30 per pupil or student for each day of stay. Sometimes a statement is required showing the movement of funds for the last 3 months. If your income is not enough for such a certificate, you need to provide a sponsorship letter and financial documents from the sponsor. Switzerland also accepts travelers' checks.
Step 8
Medical insurance valid for the entire period of stay in the Schengen area. The amount of insurance coverage must be at least 30 thousand euros.
