Belgium resembles a medieval country with beautiful landscapes. If you want to understand it, you need to drive a car, look into every corner, believe me, there is something to see here.
Steen Castle. The oldest architectural masterpiece in the city. It was erected in the 13th century. Later, the castle became a prison, where people were tortured and even burned. At the beginning of the 19th century, all this stopped, and the prison became a museum.
The Green Square used to be a cemetery, now it is a favorite place for local residents. There is a skyscraper on the square, it is called the Farmers' Tower. There are also many more attractions here. Not far from the square is the Cathedral of Our Lady and the monument to Rubens.
Guild buildings. They have been destroyed more than once and have also been restored several times. Since 1576, they began to be restored for the first time, and this ended only in the 19th century.
House-Museum of Rubens. Rubens himself was engaged in the drawings of this building. The house consists of a workshop on two floors and a residential side. Things from the life of the master have not survived here, despite the fact that Rubens painted more than 2000 paintings in this house. The building was designed in the Baroque style. From him and glows with wealth.
MAS Museum. Materials for the construction of this building were delivered from India itself. Of course, the museum looks very unusual, because it was built quite recently, only in 2011. MAS can be visited even closer to night and will be open. The museum is the main attraction of Antwerp.
