Prague is a wonderful, beautiful city with many cultural and architectural monuments. But during a long stay in the Czech capital, sometimes there is a desire to go somewhere else: to admire the surroundings or to visit neighboring states.
20 km from Prague is the small village of Velke Popovice, which is famous all over the world for its brewery. In early June, a holiday is held here, dedicated to the village's mascot and the official sign of beer - the goat. During the festival, you can see the brewing process, get acquainted with old recipes and, of course, taste different types of foamy drink. Architecture lovers will love the ancient castles, which are quite common in the southern regions of the Czech Republic. One of the largest in terms of area is Valtice Castle, located near the Austrian border. On its territory there is a beautiful garden with various sculptures, gazebos and garden houses, there is its own opera house. The highlight of Valtice is the medieval dungeon. In it, several wine cellars are connected by labyrinths. The nature of Bohemian Switzerland will amaze you with its uniqueness. This marvelous corner, located in the north of the country, is the national park of the Czech Republic. Here you can see one of the majestic monuments created by the forces of the World Ocean - Pravchitsky Gate. Not without a castle. It was built at the end of the 19th century by Italian craftsmen and harmoniously fits into the surrounding landscape, it seems as if implanted into the rocks. Fans of skiing will love the Giant Mountains. Any of the resorts in the region have excellent trails for downhill and cross-country skiing, as well as hiking and mountain biking. Equipment rental is available everywhere, and experienced instructors will help beginners to master the snow slopes. You will not regret if you leave the Czech border and go, for example, to Dresden. In this German city, visit the jewelery museum, the famous art gallery, the weapons museum, admire the Trinity Cathedral and see one of the main attractions - the impressive palace ensemble - the Zwinger. An alternative to a trip to Dresden can be a trip to Vienna or Warsaw. Wherever you go, everywhere you will get a lot of positive emotions and vivid unforgettable impressions that will remain in your memory for many years.
