Tourists who are going to visit Ukraine in the near future should take care in advance that their luggage is delivered to their destination safe and sound and, most importantly, on time. A certain package of documents that must be filled out depends on the purpose of the trip.
Instructions
Step 1
When moving to Ukraine for permanent residence, make sure you have the following documents. The emigrant must have in his hands, in addition to baggage receipts, an international passport with a corresponding mark on it. Otherwise, the customs service may have questions about the dimensions of the baggage and the number of its pieces. Other documents may also be required, such as a residence permit, a certificate from the OVIR of Ukraine, which confirms that all the person's documents were accepted to obtain a residence permit, a departure sheet.
Step 2
Before registering and paying for baggage receipts, declare your personal belongings. This must be done both when a person accompanies his luggage himself, and when he sends them by agreement with the railway service, automobile carrier company, airline by some type of transport. Also, the persons who are responsible for the delivery of things must have on hand all the necessary documents for the cargo (receipts, checks, invoices). It is possible to declare personal belongings either in writing or by informing the customs service about it orally. In this case, the luggage will not be taxed.
Step 3
In the case of a temporary stay in Ukraine (tourism, guest visit), indicate the real value of all your luggage in the cargo customs declaration. Pay the full amount of all fees, taxes and duties and receive a receipt. Be sure to take a receipt, it will be required when passing through customs. This is especially necessary if a person is going to take out a large amount of luggage, because it may be difficult to convince customs that these are in fact personal items.
Step 4
Carry out similar actions if you are going to export any goods to Ukraine. The only difference will be that here you will have to prove that you are their official representative and manufacturer. To do this, customs officers will need to present certificates from the tax authorities, as well as an invoice.
