You can get to Kherson by plane. There are approximately two flights per day. This is the responsibility of the S7 airline, whose planes depart from Vnukovo airport. And since July 2013, Motor Sich Airlines has been operating regular flights between Moscow and Kherson from Vnukovo airport. The flight will take 1 hour 55 minutes.

You can get to Kherson by long-distance train. There is a direct train Moscow - Kherson. Which, on average, leaves the Kievsky railway station of the capital once a day. In this case, the journey will take 1 day and 2 hours.
Step 3
It is also possible to get to Kherson by a regular tourist bus, which is intended for long-distance travel. Usually buses to Kherson leave from the Kiev railway station of the Russian capital. But you need to get ready right away that you won't be able to get there quickly. If the bus goes without stopping for the driver and passengers to rest, then the way to Kherson will take a little more than 20 hours.

If we talk about traveling by car, then the route here is quite simple and straightforward. It is necessary to choose the Kaluga direction and drive first to Kaluga, and then head for Bryansk. After Bryansk, follow the highway to the Russian-Ukrainian border, and then move along the main road that passes by small Ukrainian cities. Of course, you can go to Chernigov, Kiev or Poltava, but this means that each time you have to deviate from the intended goal by 50-60 kilometers. Therefore, it is better to immediately head for Nikolaev, and from there it is a stone's throw to Kherson - no more than 40 kilometers. Travel time by car will take about 16-18 hours. But if there are traffic jams on the roads or there is some unforeseen delay at the border, then the travel time can stretch up to 20 hours.
