Perhaps the most romantic travels are somehow connected with water. It gives travel a certain mood: regularity, the ability to relax and unwind while traveling. But also water can cause tragedies. It is quite possible to avoid problem situations and protect yourself from dangers on the water and water transport to the extent that it depends on you.
Instructions
Step 1
When traveling by water transport, strictly follow the instructions for being on board, and also study the escape routes in case of a problem situation (as they say, before entering somewhere, first clearly know how to get out of there). If, while on board, you did not find instructions, then feel free to ask the service personnel for it.
Step 2
Check for life jackets. If they are absent, be sure to tell the service personnel about this and ask them to provide you with the missing vests before the vessel leaves the coast.
Step 3
Remember, even if you are in an emergency while traveling by boat, keep your composure. Try to calm yourself down and don't panic. Accurately follow the requirements of the instructions, which prescribe actions in such situations, or obey the instructions of the personnel conducting the evacuation measures. Remain calm anyway.
Step 4
Make sure your boat is equipped with lifebuoys before sailing. In the event of a man overboard detection, such a circle is simply necessary.
Step 5
Observe also the rules of staying on the beach and in the water during your rest. So, in no case swim behind the buoys and do not come close to the vessel, which is under way (including boats, water scooters and other similar vehicles).
Step 6
Enter the water slowly, slowly, feeling the bottom step by step. This is especially true for those who like to relax on wild beaches, where, as a rule, the bottom is not explored and there are no lifeguards.
Step 7
Never bathe when tired, after prolonged exposure to the sun, and immediately after eating. Do not go into the water while drunk. Remember that the human conditions listed above can provoke tragedy.
Step 8
Jump into the water only in a designated jumping area. Also, be sure to ask a diving instructor for help if you are not confident in your abilities.
Step 9
Make it a rule not to leave children unattended on the beach even for a minute, because misfortune can happen to a baby left unattended.
Step 10
Do not overestimate your capabilities, be critical of them: if you are not sure that you can manage a boat, then it is better not to ride it. But if you still decide to organize a boat trip, then do it only in good, calm weather. Do not overload the boat with people or things, and do not get into the boat while intoxicated.
