Due to the persistent summer heat, we try to spend as much time as possible by the water bodies. In order for a pleasant holiday not to turn into a tragedy, it is necessary to follow the general safety rules on the water.
Instructions
Step 1
Firstly, you can swim only on equipped beaches in places familiar to you. Specialists are obliged to monitor the territory adjacent to the beach, as well as the condition of the bottom. Swimming on the beach ensures that you will not bump into sharp rocks or driftwood lying under the water.
Step 2
Secondly, do not dive in places unknown to you. Before jumping from the bank into the water, make sure that the area you choose is really safe. To do this, first enter the water gradually and examine the depth of the pond and the nature of the bottom. If you dive without checking it, you could get serious injuries, such as a broken arm, collarbone, or spine.
Step 3
Third, never dive from dams. The flow of water in such areas of the reservoir creates underwater funnels, from which it is almost impossible to get out. If you do get into it, take a breath and swim down, not up. At the bottom, the diameter of the funnel is narrowest, and it will be easier to get out of it - just move to the side.
Step 4
Fourth, don't stay in the water for too long. Low water temperature can lead to hypothermia of the body and limb constriction. If at this moment you are far from the coast, you may simply not get to it.
Step 5
Fifth, do not go into cold water abruptly, especially after a long time in the sun, otherwise a pressure surge and even cardiac arrest may occur.
Step 6
Sixth, do not swim into the fairway and do not approach moving vessels. You could be hit by a propeller or a wave.
Step 7
Seventh, do not move around the body of water on homemade floating devices: no one can guarantee their safety.
Step 8
Eighth, do not swim while drunk and do not play games in the water that involve grabbing or drowning partners.
