Sometimes nature creates perfection. And if you can argue about the greatness of a person for a long time, then one of the animals tamed by him truly amazes with its strength, endurance and ability to adapt to the environment. So if you are not alone with the desert, but accompanied by a caravan of camels, there is nothing to worry about.
It is necessary
Camel caravan of at least eight
Instructions
Step 1
Catch the signs of an approaching sandstorm: all sounds suddenly subside, not the slightest rustle remains, complete calm ensues. The sky is covered with a dusty haze, so you can look at the sun without squinting. If this happens, wait for the moment when a dark cloud appears above the horizon, rushing at the speed of a courier train. An approaching cloud is raising more and more sand.
Step 2
Don't run! A sand cloud during a sandstorm can reach speeds of 150-200 kilometers per hour. When the sandstorm has already begun, trying to overtake it is pointless. Act like the traditional Bedouin desert dwellers. Lay the camels in a circle with their croup towards the center and their heads out. Place people in the center, placing the weakest members of the team closer to the middle. Prepare for the storm by wearing tight clothing, wrapping your head around your head, and covering your eyes with sunglasses (if available). As a last resort, just take out a handkerchief or other fabric through which you will breathe.
Step 3
Bend down and wait patiently, letting the elements take their course. Don't worry about camels: Nature has rewarded them with a double row of eyelashes and low-hanging eyebrows to protect the eyes from dust. The bow of a desert ship is equipped with movable nostrils, which it can spontaneously close during a sandstorm. The hard calluses on the knees of camels allow them to lie on the hard sand for a long time. The camel's impressive size and dense wool cover are perfectly adapted to the difficult desert climate.
