Many mountain tourist routes in the Caucasus begin in Nevinnomyssk. The city itself is interesting. It is located at the confluence of the Big Zelenchuk into the Kuban. In addition, Nevinka is the closest large railway station to Stavropol, from where you can get to the regional center by bus or taxi.

Step 1
A large branch of the North Caucasian railway passes through Nevinnomyssk. This small town, once formed from a Cossack village, is located in the region of the Caucasian Mineral Waters with its popular resorts, so the transport network is very well developed here. If you are traveling from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Barnaul, Irkutsk, it is most convenient to take tickets for the Kislovodsk train to the Nevinnomysskaya station. You will also be taken to it by trains going from northern cities to Vladikavkaz or Mineralnye Vody. Moscow trains depart from Kursk and Kazansky railway stations, St. Petersburg ones from Moskovsky. All passenger trains and many fast trains stop in Nevinnomyssk.
Step 2
You can also get to Nevinnomyssk by plane. There is an international airport in the nearby Mineralnye Vody. Several Moscow and St. Petersburg flights arrive every day. Without a transfer, you will also get to Minvod from Yekaterinburg, Aktau, Volgograd and Yerevan. You can get from Mineralnye Vody to Nevinnomyssk by bus, route taxi or train. In addition, regular taxis are easy to hire in the area. The journey by train or bus takes about two hours; by car it takes about an hour and a half or even faster.

Several intercity bus routes pass through Nevinnomyssk. For example, you can get to Nevinka directly from Moscow. The bus to Dombay leaves the capital once a week. By bus you can get from Anapa, Novorossiysk, Lugansk, Vladikavkaz, Nalchik, Rostov-on-Don, Novocherkassk, Sochi and, of course, neighboring resort towns.
Step 4
Quite a lot of bus routes connect Nevinnomyssk with Stavropol and Krasnodar. The journey from Krasnodar takes about six hours. This is not the most convenient option, but it has repeatedly helped out travelers who went to Nevinnomyssk at the height of the holiday season. Trains going to Krasnodar are somewhat less loaded than those that take tourists to popular health resorts. So if you are not very lucky with tickets for direct trains, you can get to Krasnodar, change to an intercity bus to Nevinnomyssk, and from there it will not be difficult to get to any resort town in the Caucasus.

The distance from Moscow to Nevinnomyssk is just over one and a half thousand kilometers. The fastest way by car is along the M-4 highway. From the capital you need to leave in the direction of Tula, and then your way will pass through Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don and Armavir. There is another road - through Tambov and Elista, along the M-6 highway. It is slightly longer than the first one, but it is slightly less busy, so you will spend about the same time.
