The main temple of the armed forces in Patriot Park opened a year ago. There is information on the site, but it is difficult to find it. In the article, personal experience of visiting 2021-06-04.
The main temple of the Russian Armed Forces and Patriot Park is a new, must-see place in Moscow, or rather in the Moscow region. Detailed information can be found on the official website of the Patriot Park, which has a huge territory, many interesting objects and it is definitely not possible to see them in one day. We set aside one full day for our trip. During this time, we examined the temple itself and the Memory Road Museum located around the temple. We have passed our 1,418 steps to Victory, and this path will forever remain in our memory - very strong emotions, a very worthy exposition, psychologically literate, memorable! Recomend for everybody.
How can you get there?
1. Bus excursion, it costs 2300 per person from the Park Pobedy metro station. I don't like excursions, everything is running and expensive - that's my opinion.
2. Independently by public transport from Moscow.
The temple is located between the station Golitsyno and Kubinka along the Mozhaiskaya branch, 3-4 trains run per hour. Yandex-schedule will show everything.
It is more convenient to leave from the Slavyansky Boulevard stopping platform, there is no need to cross the crossing bridge to board, you immediately go to the platform, the ticket costs 78 rubles, and it takes 45 minutes to get to Golitsyno.
We left the Belorussky railway station, a ticket costs 130 rubles, electric trains leave from track 15 and there you have to go up and down through the crossing bridge, the journey takes 1 hour and 15 minutes. These are ordinary electric trains, there are also accelerated ones, they are much more expensive, they leave from the first track, the journey takes 56 minutes, they run rarely. Tickets are checked, take them in both directions at once. The trains are clean and free.
In Golitsyno, you need to climb the crossing bridge and go not towards the station, but to the opposite side! From the bridge you will see a sign of the OCHAG cafe, you need to go there. There are parked cars right at the crossing bridge, without taxi signs, but with the drivers inside - these are taxis, they will take you to the temple for 500 rubles, go 15-20 minutes, you can immediately agree back, they will gladly give you a phone and come for you on time. Taxi apps do not work in this village.
A minibus runs once an hour, the price is 60 rubles, you still need to get to it. Local residents do not know anything about the temple or the minibus, they interviewed 20 people, including the bus driver and the cashier at the station!
Minibus # 75k departs from a stop near the Dixie store - the locals can show it. Direction - walk to Ochag cafe, turn right and walk 300 meters to the bus stop. There is no timetable, no sign, it runs once an hour. There was no one at the bus stop.
In general, we were the three of us and chose a taxi. The taxi driver needs to tell right away that you are in the temple, to the nearest parking lot. From this parking lot to the temple walk 800 meters through a huge tiled square. You walk, and you see only the temple and hear only your steps. Impressive. There are several steps and several benches to take a break. Strong wind! The visit is free. I recommend going on weekdays.
We got back to the same parking lot where the taxi driver had brought and saw a stop - there is no timetable, but people are waiting. Three minibuses leave from here - No. 75k to Golitsyno, No. 75k to Kubinka and No. 60 to Selyatino. We left safely, it was 30 minutes to go, there were a lot of people, all the seats were occupied, it’s a weekday evening. The parking lot has a cafeteria and toilets.
These buses go around the entire Patriot Park and you need to clearly understand where you are going - to a temple, to a partisan village, to an exhibition of equipment - these are all far from each other, but this bus travels everywhere. Look at the site of the Patriot Park in the "contacts" section, everything is shown there. This is the nearest stop at the temple, it is already, as it were, on the way back, when the bus is already returning to Golitsyno. There are even earlier stops to the temple, but there is very far to go!
