There is also a fundamentally different architecture in the city, for example, the building of the Romanov Palace, built at the end of the 19th century, or Kaplan's pharmacy, which appeared here in 1906. The architecture of the XIX-XX centuries is complemented by buildings of men's and women's gymnasiums, branches of the State Bank and the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan.

Go to Khiva. The most interesting sights of the city are the fortress walls and city gates, which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. All the most significant sights of Khiva are located in the inner city "Ichan-Kala".
Explore another ancient city of Uzbekistan near Khiva - Urgench. Here you will be interested in the forts located in the area. For the convenience of traveling, you will need to take a taxi.
Step 3
Visit one of the most ancient cities of Uzbekistan - Bukhara. It is worth spending at least three days to see the sights of this city. The main architectural ensembles of the city that are worth visiting are Chor-Minor, the Ark fortress, the Talipach gate. Numerous mosques ("Kalyan", "Balyand", "Kurpa") and mausoleums ("Chashma Ayub", "Saif ad-Din Boharzi") are worth seeing.
Step 4
Visit another interesting city of Uzbekistan, which definitely deserves your attention. This is Samarkand, which appeared in 742 BC. e. Must-see places are the Shakhi-Zinda mausoleum ensemble and the three madrasah ensemble on the Registan square. Other sights of the ancient city are Afrasiab, the remains of Ulugbek's observatory, the Gur Emir mausoleum, and the Bibi Khanum mosque.
Take time to visit the homeland of Tamerlane - the city of Shakhrisabz. The historic center of this city is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Places of interest for tourists: the ruins of Timur's palace, the Dorut Tilavat memorial complex, the remains of the Timurid dynastic burial vault.
