Step 1
The traditional dress for men is a robe, usually a brightly colored silk robe with traditional stripes. It is customary to gird the dressing gown with a scarf-sash, the man's head is covered with a skullcap. Women dress no less brightly in long and wide satin dresses, a shawl is also welcome, a scarf or an embroidered skullcap on their heads.
Step 2
Most of the population is still engaged in agriculture, various crafts and trade. In cities, such crafts as weaving, pottery, blacksmithing, jewelry, and leatherwork have always been widespread. Women are busy sewing clothes, embroidering national patterns popular among Western guests, they also make skullcaps for tourists. Strange as it may seem, this everyday way of urban life, which is more than one century, has largely survived to this day.

Of course, it is impossible to say that civilization and globalization have not influenced the lifestyle of Uzbekistan. They also use mobile phones and gadgets, Internet cafes (it is extremely expensive to bring the Internet into the house by local standards) and karaoke are widespread.
Step 4
Outside the cities, Uzbekistan lives by cattle breeding. Since ancient times, mainly oxen and horses were bred here as draft animals and sheep for meat and milk. In the foothill and steppe regions, cattle breeding (sheep breeding and horse breeding) plays a leading role.
Step 5
For Uzbeks, family is of great importance, and divorces are very rare here. Traditionally, Uzbek families have many children and include several generations under one roof. Honoring of the elders is a characteristic feature. Within the family, there is a clear division of labor: men are engaged in handicrafts, gardening and cattle breeding, women are responsible for looking after the entire household and children.

More than a thousand different dishes are known in the Uzbek national cuisine. The first place is, of course, pilaf. This is both a festive and an everyday dish; no family event is complete without it. The appetizer "kazi" is prepared from horse meat, and the most popular soups are shurpa and mastava made from vegetables.
Step 7
Bread in Uzbekistan is considered sacred, and the traditional wearing of bread baskets on the head is connected with this. On holidays, in an earthenware oven, patyr cakes are baked from puff pastry on lamb fat, and on weekdays, obi-non cakes are kneaded in water. Tea drinking with sweets and fruits is a daily and obligatory tradition. Tea is poured from small teapots and served in bowls.

The Uzbek people are distinguished by great hospitality, and all festive events are celebrated very cheerfully and crowded. Weddings, anniversaries, national holidays are accompanied by plentiful meals, they are not complete without unusual Uzbek music and dances.
