Vacationers in the most popular Moroccan city of Agadir, even in a five-star hotel, will often be hungry. In the hotel restaurant, all dishes are carefully divided into individual portions and cannot be supplemented. But this also has its advantages for tourists who want to lose weight. They will not be able to eat more than they should. In general, food lovers are unlikely to like it here.
Rest by the ocean
There is no sea in Morocco, but there is a whole Atlantic Ocean. Only a skilled swimmer will be able to plunge into it. Constant high tides, alternating with low tides, many marine abodes in the coastal zone and waves of great height hardly contribute to a calm, carefree rest. Surfing enthusiasts will surely like the beaches of Morocco.
Rude attention of men
In almost all eastern countries, men are very loving. Morocco is no exception. A Russian woman, splashing near the coast in the sea waves, may unexpectedly notice that she is being closely watched by a male representative. At the same time, the man's hand is in his swimming trunks. Local residents do not attach any importance to such cases, no one makes comments, but such behavior shocks a Russian woman.
Cheating tourists by restaurant waiters
Russians who have visited Agadir say that foreign tourists are often deceived in local restaurants. At the beginning of the meal, the waiter provides the menu, and at the end he brings the bill, in which the amount is much higher than the visitor had planned. If a vacationer decides to look at the menu, it turns out that he was taken away immediately after ordering the dish. The waiter brings the menu again at the request of the guest. This time the amount completely coincides with the bill, because the menu brought in the second time is completely different. In order not to fall for such a trick, you need to make sure at the very beginning that the menu remains on the table until the end of the meal.
Uncomfortable beach in Morocco
Agadir has a beautiful promenade with tropical trees, clean sand, fitness equipment. And behind it there is a very large beach, which is full of disadvantages:
- At low tide, it takes a very long time to get to the water;
- During a sudden tide, you need to leave very quickly;
- A strong ocean wind will also not bring much pleasure when swimming;
- There are very few sun beds and umbrellas, and some hotels do not have such accessories at all;
- The locals come to the beach with their families and build whole castles from umbrellas and tents.
Local crooks
As in any resort town, there are plenty of easy money lovers here. Tourists are usually poorly guided by the terrain; local crooks take advantage of this. A traveler, for example, asks to be escorted to the train station, but instead, the crooks, with a polite smile, take him along the narrow streets inland. And only then they offer to take the desperate traveler out of the labyrinth for a certain fee.
A photo with local residents will cost a tourist a penny. If an ordinary passer-by even accidentally falls into the field of view of the camera lens, he will immediately demand a payment for the photo. Moreover, as the guides say, the traveler will not be able to prove something, since the law will be on the side of local residents.
Morocco does not have comfortable beaches and abundant food buffets, but there is wonderful nature, exoticism and interesting educational excursions. If you are not afraid of difficulties and dream of an unforgettable experience, this amazing Moroccan world will be remembered forever.
