Morocco is a North African country that has something to surprise even an experienced traveler. Here you will find not only beautiful clean beaches and gentle sea, but also amazingly beautiful sand dunes in the desert, cedar forests and groves of orange trees. And the cities will remind of revived illustrations to ancient oriental fairy tales.
Visa for Morocco
Russian citizens do not need a visa to visit the Kingdom of Morocco. Since the tourism industry accounts for a large part of the country's income, officials have done everything to attract tourists. Russians can stay in Morocco for up to 90 days without applying for a visa.
When crossing the border, you need to have several documents with you:
- a passport with an available free page for a stamp (the document must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of entry into the country);
- completed migration card (it is allowed to use English, French or Arabic; you can get a migration card on the plane, at the airport or at the passport control booth);
Also, the border guard may inquire about some of your other documents. Be prepared to present:
- return tickets from Morocco (you can show tickets both to Russia and to any other country);
- financial resources in sufficient quantity (you can demonstrate a bank statement, bank card, check indicating the amount from an ATM or even cash; usually border guards do not particularly find fault with this moment).
After the procedure of checking your passport and affixing an entry stamp, you will be assigned an individual visitor number, which can be seen next to the date of entry and the name of the border crossing.
Often, Russian citizens are worried whether the presence of an Israeli entry stamp will prevent them from visiting Morocco. There is no reason for concern: for this reason, entry into Morocco is not denied.
Citizens of Belarus, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan need a visa to visit Morocco. Any Kazakhstani or Ukrainian can apply for a visa to Morocco in Moscow.
Falling into Morocco
Usually Russians choose the air route to visit Morocco. Air traffic between the cities of Russia and the North African kingdom is well developed.
There is also the possibility of getting to Morocco by land when crossing the border with neighboring African states. In this case, the most comfortable and economical trip will be by train. But, when planning a trip, be sure to clarify the information: trains between some countries may be canceled during this period of time.
A cruise or sea trip will allow you to enter the country by water.
The visa requirements are the same regardless of how and for how many days you enter Morocco.
There is also a route to Morocco from Spain, there is a regular service between these countries, ferries run along the Strait of Gibraltar. This method allows you to come to Morocco with your car (provided that you are traveling in Europe). But when driving a car rented in Europe, be careful: most likely, it is prohibited to travel outside the EU on it.
