The capital of the Kuban is a city with a unique South Russian flavor, bustling, hospitable and very dear. Arriving here for the first time, you immediately understand: this is a house. In Moscow, the feeling does not leave that they have arrived at the post and will soon be politely asked from here. In Krasnodar, everything is native, and, moreover, very interesting.
Instructions
Step 1
Red Street. One of the most, if not the most beautiful and beloved by the townspeople and guests of Krasnodar. A significant part of the sights, which are the "visiting card" of the city, are located here. This is Shurik and Lida, reading the fateful synopsis, a monument to the 200th anniversary of Catherine II - the famous bell, inside which everyone is invited to make a wish and throw a coin.
Step 2
There is a singing fountain on the theater square, although it sings only on weekends, the rest of the time it just dances. Krasnaya street begins with a square, around which are located the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Regional Duma and the monument to Catherine II, built in 1907 and destroyed 13 years later. There are many beautiful buildings of the early 20th century on Krasnaya Street, which are a special pleasure for architecture lovers to look at. By the way, on weekends the street completely passes into the power of pedestrians - traffic is blocked here.
Step 3
Sunny island. If you look at the map, you will see that it is literally an island, it is located on Lake Staraya Kuban. On the island there is a large amusement park, a pine and deciduous grove, a planetarium, on the shore of the lake you can relax with sports activities - people come here to play volleyball, tennis and table tennis, and exercise on exercise equipment.
Step 4
Here is what is said about the history of the park's creation on the official website: “A land plot near the Kuban River with an area of 321 dessiatines, 160 square fathoms, on June 14, 1876, was transferred to the hereditary property of Marfa Golovataya - the widow of the famous Kuban writer, artillery officer, Colonel Golovaty. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the land was bought by a well-known entrepreneur of German origin, a member of the Board of Trustees of the 1st Ekaterinodar Women's Gymnasium, Adolf Nikolaevich Rokkel. A dexterous gardener - an entrepreneur, not only for the sake of aesthetic pleasure, he planted trees, but so that the island was accessible to the public. He connected it with the mainland with three wooden bridges, plowed up the rich black soil, started a first-class economy. And thanks to him, now Solnechny Island is included in the compulsory recreation program for Krasnodar residents and their guests.
Step 5
Safari Park. There is a paradise on Solnechny Island - the Krasnodar Zoo. Here the animals, as much as possible, create a habitat close to their natural habitat. Visitors, who have just entered the territory, will see a pond with blooming lotuses, so beautiful that they kneel before them. An African street with monkeys, camels and a hippopotamus greets you with the sounds of tom-toms and immediately immerses you in the safari atmosphere.
Step 6
The picturesque lake with swans, on which the Island of Lemurs is located, is beautiful even in good weather, and in a downpour it becomes truly magical. On it you can ride an Indian pie. But the most interesting starts from about 16-30 and lasts about an hour. At this time, the zoo staff is conducting demonstration feeding for some animals and birds - hippopotamus, guanacos, hyenas, giraffes, kalao.
Step 7
Visitors can even hand-feed Guanacos themselves. This entertainment is especially popular, because very rarely a resident of a metropolis can so clearly feel the connection with the unique world of wildlife. Such feedings are accompanied by stories about the peculiarities of the existence of the wards of the zoo, their individual character traits, and the laws of life of a particular species. The combination of benefit and pleasure is what a trip to the Safari Park is all about.
