The 2012 European Championship is a significant event for all football fans. The first three matches of the Russian national team are held in Poland, which means that many Russian fans will go to support the national team in June. You need to hurry up if you want to join them.
Necessary
- - international passport;
- - Schengen visa;
- - from 2000 euros per person.
Instructions
Step 1
Go for the Euro yourself. Poland is not a country that closes borders for Russian tourists. Those who regularly travel to Europe can certainly boast of a multiple-entry Schengen visa - it is quite enough to enter Poland. Take out health insurance and take care of return tickets - all this may be asked of you at the border.
Step 2
Get your visa yourself. Grab your tickets, hotel voucher, insurance and add a bank statement to ensure you have the right amount in your account. To stay in Poland, you need 100 zlotys (about 1000 rubles) per person per day. If you have all this, you should be given a visa. Hurry up - there is very little time left. For those heading to Euro 2012, the Polish Embassy offers a separate queue and accelerated visa procedure, but this will require showing match tickets or any proof of purchase.
Step 3
Choose a hotel located near convenient transport links. Highways can be congested, so be guided by the metro and rail lines. The first match of the Russian national team will take place in Wroclaw, and the next two - in Warsaw. The road from one city to another takes about 5 hours by bus, so the most convenient option is to go directly to Wroclaw, and then move to Warsaw. Central hotels have been filled for a long time, and only large travel agencies will be able to book a room in them. Try to find a small hotel on the outskirts, or look for campsites that will be formed near major cities. In general, self-organization makes the trip somewhat cheaper, but at the same time adds worries to you.
Step 4
Find a travel agency that offers tours for Euro 2012 and go there. You will need to shell out a fairly round amount (a tour for 3 group matches of the Russian national team starts from 3000 euros per person), but you will not have to worry about tickets, or about a hotel, or about a transfer, or about a visa. In between matches, you will be taken on excursions, so you won't be bored. In addition, on such a themed football tour, you will always find someone to chat with.
