Belgium is a charming little kingdom in Europe that attracts tourists with its history, architecture and beauty. In order to get to this country, Russians need to obtain a Belgian visa. Belgium is one of the countries of the Schengen agreement, so a Belgian visa allows you to visit other countries that are part of this union.
Instructions
Step 1
To obtain a visa, you need to apply for a visa to the consular departments of this country in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Step 2
Visas to Belgium are short-term, long-term and transit. Long-term visas are issued to those who go to study, work, and also get married. A transit visa is issued to those who are only passing through the country, but if you have a valid Schengen visa of another country, then you do not need a transit visa. Short-term visas are tourist, business and at the invitation of individuals. Tourist visas are the most popular.
Step 3
Typically, a visa to the kingdom takes from three days to two weeks, but sometimes the period is delayed. Regular short-term stays give the right to stay no more than 90 days in a six-month period, but, as a rule, it is issued based on the dates of the invitation or the dates of the hotel reservation.
Step 4
To get a visa to Belgium, collect a package of documents. The most important is the passport, which expires no earlier than three months after the planned end of the trip. Also, if you have an old passport with issued visas and border crossing marks, then submit it to the consulate.
Step 5
Make a copy of all sheets of your Russian passport. Also attach two color photographs measuring 5 * 5 cm. They must be taken on a white or light blue background. The image must be clear and occupy at least 70% of the image area.
Step 6
To obtain a visa, fill out the form that you can find on the website of the visa center or get it in the very center. After filling, glue one photo in the indicated place, the second - attach with a paper clip.
Step 7
Take a certificate from the place of work. It should be on letterhead and contain all the details, as well as have information about your position, salary, work experience in this enterprise and the period of paid leave.
Step 8
Medical insurance is a mandatory document. You can arrange it with your tour operator. Attach a copy of the tickets with arrival and departure dates to your documents.
Step 9
If you are traveling by private invitation, then provide the original invitation, a copy of the very first page of the inviting person's passport. For those who travel at the invitation of the company, you need an extract from the trade register of the company that invites you.
