Instructions

Step 1

You can get to Pavlovsk by suburban electric trains departing from the Vitebsk railway station (Pushkinskaya metro station). Rail is the fastest way to get there from the city center, with travel times ranging from 33 to 37 minutes. The interval of movement of electric trains is on average 12-18 minutes, but on weekdays in the first half of the day the schedule usually has a "window" of 2-2.5 hours (usually in the interval from 12 to 15 hours). Absolutely all electric trains of the Vitebsk direction stop in Pavlovsk. The railway station itself is located opposite one of the entrances to Pavlovsky Park.

Step 2

All electric trains going to Pavlovsk also make a stop at the Kupchino railway platform (Kupchino metro station), so you can take the train there as well. In this case, the travel time will be 16-20 minutes.

Step 3

From the metro station "Moskovskaya" to Pavlovsk you can take minibuses # 299 or # 545. Boarding takes place in front of the House of Soviets (behind the Lenin monument, exit from the metro towards Altayskaya Street). The interval of movement is 10-15 minutes, the travel time, depending on the traffic situation, is from 40-50 minutes to one and a half hours.

Step 4

Route taxis to Pavlovsk also follow from the Kupchino metro station (exit towards Vitebskiy prospect). Here you can take a minibus No. 286 or 363 (boarding is carried out directly opposite the exit from the metro), and, passing through the underground passage to the other side of Vitebsky Prospekt, you will find yourself at the stop of minibus No. 545a, which is also next to Pavlovsk. Travel time is the same as if you go from the Moskovskaya metro station, but the probability of getting stuck in a traffic jam is somewhat lower.

Step 5

If the main purpose of your visit is not a walk in the park, but a visit to the museum halls of the Pavlovsk Palace, you should take into account that the palace is located quite far from the "station" entrance to the park. The shortest walking route is about 1.5 kilometers. But from the station to the palace you can get there in 5-7 minutes by “local” buses and minibuses (№№ 370, 383, 493, 513, 521, 318, 618). You can get from the city to the palace without a change by minibus number 299 (metro "Moskovskaya") or number 286 (metro "Kupchino").
