Tourist visa For a stay in Thailand from 3 to 6 months, you can obtain a single or double tourist visa at the consulate of the Kingdom itself. In this case, a copy of the booked air ticket to the Kingdom of Thailand will be added to the package of documents from the previous paragraph. a completed visa extension application form (visa extention - issued on the spot), a copy of the passport, two 3x4 photographs and 1900 Thai baht (1 baht equals approximately 1 Russian ruble).
Step 2
A non-immigrant visa can be obtained in case of starting a business in Thailand (category B) and upon admission to study or participating in educational programs (category ED). The last category, in particular, includes training in language schools and participation in volunteer programs. The maximum period of stay in the country with such a visa is one year. In the first case, an official letter confirming the purpose of the trip will be added to the main package of documents; a document confirming the right to conduct business; educational document and letter of recommendation. To obtain an ED visa, you will need proof of admission to an educational institution. The consular fee for obtaining a non-tourist visa will be $ 65 for a single entry and $ 175 for a multiple entry visa.
Step 3
"Visa-run" A popular method among most tourists that allows you to stay in the "land of smiles" for one more month without obtaining a visa. Its essence is that you need to cross one of the borders of the neighboring countries of Thailand in order to receive a stamp extending your stay by one month. The states bordering Thailand include Cambodia, Malaysia, Laos and Myanmar. All you need to do to get such a stamp is to get to the neighboring border, pay the border guards from $ 10 to $ 20, fill out the registration card and enjoy Thailand for another month. The advantage of such a trip is the lack of documents required to obtain a visa and saving time. Minus - the speed of the stamp will end within a month after receiving it. But the number of stamps that you can get in this way is practically unlimited.
