Modern man increasingly often chooses an airplane as a means of transportation within the country. Booking a ticket for domestic flights using an international passport
As a rule, documents are booked online and the airline requires the following data to be specified without fail:
- Full Name;
- Date of Birth;
- passport data.
But many air carriers go to a meeting without making any claims if the booked document contains the data of the passport. The only thing is that the passport must be valid and the passport data must match the data indicated on the ticket. Only in this case you can safely check in on board the aircraft.
In addition, there are unforeseen circumstances that can become an obstacle to air travel. Namely, if the passport has been lost, has acquired an improper appearance - it is torn, rubbed, the pages are soaked, expired. In this case, the only solution is to reissue the ticket for another identity document - a foreign passport.
Reissuance of the ticket for the data of the passport
If any of the above situations arises, then you should not immediately cancel the reservation. No airline will refuse to reissue a ticket, but for this you should:
- call the airline's hotline;
- to clarify whether the data can be reissued on the airline's website;
- enter your data from the passport on the official website of the air carrier;
- wait for confirmation of document change.
In some airlines your data can be changed by the operator, you only need to dictate them over the phone, and some will ask for your personal presence. You will find out all this only by calling the airline.
Also, you should pay attention to the fact that this service is often paid, the tariff can be found on the website of the air carrier.
And it should be remembered that changes can be made no later than 40 minutes before check-in ends.
