When buying a ticket at the airline's office or from a travel operator, the easiest and fastest way is to contact the seller directly. Changing the date of tickets when buying a tourist voucher (package) as a whole can only be made by a travel company, since in this case the flight is made by a charter, not a regular flight. Some Russian airlines (for example, Transaero) change the flight date only when contacting the airline's office directly (including even if the buyer is abroad).

When issuing an electronic ticket through the official website of the airline, you can call the Hot Line of the airline, working around the clock. Customer support staff can find out the cost of rebooking tickets for certain dates, as well as change these dates online. The amount of the fee for changes in departure dates depends on the fare of the airline. As a rule, the more expensive the fare, the lower the cost of rebooking (for First and Business Class passengers, date changes are often made free of charge, provided that there are free seats for the required number). When booking tickets through an intermediary website, the buyer can contact the intermediary's support service or directly to the airline to change the flight date.

Many foreign airlines allow you to make changes to the flight date directly on their website, in your personal account. The fee for changing the date is removed from the bank card in real time (the operator pre-makes a call confirming the availability of your class seats for the required date). This is possible only when booking and paying for a ticket directly on the airline's website.

In some cases, if it is possible to return a ticket and buy it again, it is much cheaper to follow this procedure. As a rule, this is possible when purchasing a high-class air ticket, or when purchasing return tickets in economy class.

It should be remembered that when buying "last minute tickets" on sales or promotions, refunds and changes in the flight date are not possible, as will be announced in advance when booking. In such cases, if it is impossible to fly out on the indicated date, the ticket will expire.
