Myth 1: the earlier you buy a ticket, the lower the price
There is some logic in this, but only in the fact that the cheapest fares are bought up first of all, and not the tickets become more expensive. Therefore, you can find the best price even if you buy the day before departure. The same applies to the tariffs for the promotion: the terms of the promotions can be completely different. And last minute tickets are sold at all a few days before departure at the lowest prices.
Myth 2: taking a ticket in both directions is always more profitable than taking a separate ticket
This statement is true for standard scheduled flights. If you are traveling with low-cost airlines, then in this case it is more convenient to look at round-trip tickets separately, so you can find more options. In the case of low-cost airlines, the cost of a round trip ticket will be the sum of the round trip ticket separately. Last minute charters are also often sold in one direction, this is due to the peculiarities of organizing ready-made tours.
Myth 3: if you arrived on a charter flight, then you must also fly back by charter, and vice versa
If the round trip tickets were purchased separately, then you can fly any flight, it does not matter, charter or regular. The most important thing is not to miss the first segment of the flight. For example, if you bought a Moscow - New York ticket with a transfer in Paris and are going to board in Paris, then you will not be registered, since the first Moscow - Paris segment is skipped and all subsequent segments are canceled automatically. This is an international rule.
Myth 4: traveling with low-cost airlines is always cheaper
Not always. As a rule, a certain number of tickets are allocated for each flight at minimal prices, the rest may even exceed the cost of tickets on a regular flight. In addition, pay attention to which airport the plane arrives at, many low-cost airlines arrive at remote airports, a transfer from which to the city can cost 15-20 euros one way. Of course, if you are used to traveling with luggage, then add additional luggage transportation to the cost. Another important factor is the time of departure and arrival, often with these airlines it is the most inconvenient, and you will have to get from or to the airport by taxi. Comparing all the additional costs, it is sometimes easier, cheaper and more comfortable to fly on a regular regular flight.
Myth 5: there are more and less safe airlines
This is also a myth, with rare exceptions. As far as comfort is concerned, this is the case: there are more comfortable seats, cleaner planes, movie screens, helpful service and delicious food. Also, airlines may behave differently and provide different conditions for a flight delay or cancellation. But regarding safety, there are uniform rules for all airlines.
