France is a member of the European Union, that is, to visit it, you need to obtain a Schengen visa. This is a relatively simple procedure, since the French embassy requires a small list of documents to apply for a visa, and filling out the questionnaire presents no difficulties.
Instructions
Step 1
It makes sense to plan your trip to France in advance, since the embassy does not guarantee the minimum time for issuing a visa. Documents can be submitted three months before the trip.

Documents for a French visa can be submitted either directly at the French Embassy, which is located in Moscow at Kazansky pereulok, 10, or at the French Visa Application Center (website address: https://www.francevac-ru.com/russian/index.aspx, address of location: Marksistskaya str., building 3, bldg. 2). In any case, you must first sign up. You need to make an appointment at the Consulate General of France by phone (+7 (495) 504 37 05 from 09.00 to 18.00, from Monday to Friday), and you can get to the Visa Center through the website.

On the main page of the site you will find links to the consulate questionnaire forms. The application for a French visa can be filled in both French and English, but always in block letters. It is filled in by the applicant in full, except for the rightmost column, and must necessarily contain three signatures of the applicant, identical to the signatures in the passport: the first is in field number 37, the second is in the field strictly below it, and the third is in the lowest right field. When filling out the questionnaire, keep in mind that if you were born before 1991, in the columns "Country of birth" and "Citizenship at birth, if different" you should write not Russia, but USSR. If you find it difficult to fill out the questionnaire, do it directly at the Visa Application Center, asking for help from the consultants on duty in the hall.
