A trip to Germany can be carried out for different purposes, therefore there are several types of visas: tourist, guest, business and transit. You can apply for a visa in person by submitting documents to the General Embassy, or resort to the services of a travel agency.
Regardless of which way of obtaining a visa you choose, you need to write an application for this document with your own hand. For a tourist visa, you must fill out 2 application forms and one clarification. Prepare 2 photographs, 3 by 4 cm in size, no more than six months old, preferably in color; a foreign passport, the validity of which must be more than 3 months after the end of your visa, remove a photocopy of the page with your data from it; Russian passport; confirmation of hotel reservations and tickets. You also need to provide confirmation of your financial capabilities: the presence of at least 50 euros for the day of stay in Germany (you can take an up-to-date bank statement or income statement). Take out health insurance for the entire period of your stay abroad, this applies to all Schengen countries. The insurance coverage must be at least EUR 30,000. Prepare guarantees of your return back, for example, 2NDFL certificates from the place of work, documents confirming the presence of regular income, work book, marriage and birth certificates of children. Pay the consular fee. To apply for a visitor visa, all of the above documents are required, as well as information confirming the purpose of your trip. Remember that close relatives are exempt from paying the consular fee: children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents. To obtain a business or transit visa, also fill out 2 questionnaires and one explanation, prepare 2 photos (3 by 4 cm), a foreign passport and a passport RF, medical insurance and an official invitation, which must contain the purpose of the trip and the length of stay in Germany, the address of the place of residence, a statement of the inviting party with the consent to bear all the costs of your stay in this country. When applying for a multiple-entry visa, a justification is required for frequent entries into Germany.
