National parks
Belovezhskaya Pushcha is one of the most important natural treasures in Europe. Malbork Castle
At the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, a significant Gothic fortress and the world's largest brick castle, Malbork Castle, were built in Europe. In 1309, the family of the Masters of the Teutonic Order moved from Venice to the castle. This picturesque historic site was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site at the end of the twentieth century.
Concentration camp Auschwitz Auschwitz
During the Second World War, 6 million Jews were killed, a significant part of whom died in this camp. Jews from many countries of the world, as well as Gypsies and Poles fell into the Auschwitz concentration camp. In 1947, the largest extermination camp was renamed the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, which preserves the memory of genocide and terrible human cruelty during the Second World War.
