I don’t understand how you can sit in a restaurant, savoring half a dozen unreasonably expensive oysters, if right here - in the very heart of Barcelona - it is worth turning from the Rambla, as you find yourself in a riot of colors and smells that captivate you so much that you do not indulge in gluttony here. just impossible. Boqueria is not just a market, it is a special place with its own culture. It's hard to imagine anything more authentic. In no other place where you later want to have a snack, you will not feel the same feeling of celebration. And as your stomach fills up, this sensation will intensify. Smells are everywhere in Barcelona. It is the scent of the sea, mixing with the scent of ham and sangria. And if the sea is brought to cold Russia, alas, it will not work, then jamon and delicious Spanish wine will do.
The Gothic Quarter - here it is, a stone's throw from the noisy and colorful Rambla. Roll into it and you will be surprised at how wrong you were in considering it gloomy and morose. There is simply too little room for the sun, but it is everywhere - whether reflected in shop windows or in the friendly faces of passers-by. Go around it all. Wandering through the maze of streets, you will finally come out to the Rambla again. Look to the left - that very sun will sink into the sea. Wait until it sinks completely.
