You can go to Prague on a long excursion, or even on weekends - in any case, there will be a lot of impressions
Old Place and Charles Bridge
Almost all interesting places and sights of Prague are located in the center, so you can visit many things in one day - for example, the Old Town. The name alone makes it clear that there you can see ancient streets, uniquely beautiful houses and amazing narrow alleys in which history itself is hidden. This sensation is very acute here - as if you were in the century before last.
If you walk from the Powder Tower along Celetná Street, you can find out which route the Czech kings followed in ancient times - after all, this is the “road of kings”. Here you can also see the “fireworks of architectural styles”, and then go to the Old Town Square. On it we will also admire a Gothic church, a little further we will see a merchant's house, a church, a university, a theater or a painted house "At the Three Roses". It's just a feast for the aesthetes.
From the Crusader Square we go to the Charles Bridge - this is a kind of symbol of Prague. If you have not been to the Charles Bridge, then you have not been to the Czech Republic. It is worth walking these half a kilometer across a narrow bridge to feel the spirit of Prague, its antiquity and hospitality, its legends thanks to ancient towers and magnificent sculptural groups.
Prague Castle, Vysehrad, Letná sady
Prague Castle is a former fortress, which was built in the 11th century. Since then, it has expanded, and now it is a magnificent architectural complex, as well as the presidential residence - the largest in the world, as well as a kind of spiritual center of Prague.
One has only to look at the watchtowers, Gothic cathedrals, basilicas, the Old Royal Palace and the Golden Lane, and you immediately understand why so many people strive to get here - the soul rests here, the eyes rejoice in the beautiful architecture and I want to pay tribute to everyone who built it all. and preserved for future generations.
Vysehrad has wonderful viewing platforms from which you can see magnificent views of Prague, the river and the bridge. In the Letenské sady, the parkland of Prague, there is the Hanavas Pavilion, which also offers a breathtaking view of the city and its surroundings.
Mala Strana, Kampa Island and Hradcany
Beautiful houses and amazing gardens - this is the Mala Strana district of Prague, which dates back to the first century! Walking along these streets is a real pleasure. In Hradcany, another historical district, we will see many luxurious aristocratic palaces - it's amazing how such beauty can be created with human hands!
On the island of Kampa there is the narrowest street - its width is only 70 cm, as well as 2 museums: the Museum of Modern Art and the Franz Kafka Museum.
