But, nevertheless, a certain number of Russians still regularly visit this region for personal or business purposes.

Instructions
Step 1
Do not worry about obtaining a visa if you are a citizen of Russia - since 2000, according to an interstate agreement, Russians have been entering the territory of Abkhazia without additional documents. But this does not exempt you from customs and border controls.
Step 2
Prepare the required documents. If you do not have a passport yet, issue it in advance, as it is being prepared for a month. To do this, contact the Federal Migration Service at your place of residence. If you are traveling across the border in your car, then additionally take with you the documents for it - a technical passport, and if the car is someone else's, then a general power of attorney with the seal and signature of a notary, giving permission to travel abroad by car.
Step 3
Additional documents are required to travel with a child. If he leaves without parents or with one of them, then from the second one must obtain a notarized permission to travel abroad.
Step 4
When you get close to the border, you will have to get off the transport and go to the border officers. If you have items to be declared with you, please inform us about it and fill in the relevant documents that the customs officers will give you. For example, large amounts of cash, works of art, jewelry and a number of other categories of goods are subject to declaration. The list can be found before the trip on the website of the Federal Customs Service.
Step 5
If you are driving a private car, register it with a representative of the transport service of Abkhazia. For this, you will need to pay a small fee right at the border. This rule does not apply if you are traveling through Abkhazia in transit and do not stay there for more than three days.
Step 6
When crossing the border of Abkhazia by train, the border control procedure follows the same scheme.
