A sleeping bag is an absolute must for a tourist when hiking in nature with an overnight stay. A “cocoon” or “blanket” bag will reliably protect you from the cold and make life in extreme conditions more comfortable. It is important for a beginner lover of outdoor activities to learn how to quickly and deftly collect the necessary equipment so as not to create unnecessary problems for yourself on the road. For example, fold the sleeping bag compactly.
Necessary
- - sleeping bag;
- - compress bag with belts.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure your sleeping bag is completely dry before stowing it. If your camping equipment has accumulated moisture, it must be thoroughly dried by fire or in the sun. This should be done as quickly as possible, otherwise the internal insulation can be damaged. Immediate drying is especially important for down sleeping bags, as natural bedding can begin to rot. In addition, a wet bag will be much more difficult to transport - it becomes heavier and more voluminous due to dampness.
Step 2
Fold the dry garment evenly in half along the center longitudinal line to form a long, narrow strip of the fabric. Now you can twist the sleeping bag neatly and tightly. Starting at the bottom of the product, start rolling it into a "sausage". In this case, it is necessary to forcefully press the sleeping bag with your hands to a horizontal surface and carefully smooth out all folds and bubbles with your hands. To compact your camping gear, your main task is to release as much of the accumulated air as possible from the bag through the head hole.
Step 3
Tighten the resulting small roll with the special straps that are usually included in the travel kit. Then roll the top edges of the compression bag outward and begin to gradually tuck the rolled bag into it. Unscrew the package gently, little by little, until the sleeping bag is completely inside it. If it does not fit, you just have to roll out the product and repeat step # 2 again. Try to roll the linen cylinder as tightly as possible.
Step 4
Upon arrival home, it is recommended to remove the sleeping bag from the compress packaging and store it in a closet in a straightened or slightly crumpled state. Usually, when packing in field conditions, the product folds along the same line, and with prolonged use, places with strong wear of the inner insulation appear on its surface. In order for camping equipment to retain its high performance for a longer time, when storing a sleeping bag, it is necessary to always fold the canvas in different places.
