Making a visa through the German embassy is much more profitable than through a visa center, since you do not need to pay an additional fee for the services of an intermediary. But the number of people who want to get a visa through the embassy is quite large, sometimes you have to wait a long time for your turn.
Before signing up, make sure you have the following documents ready.
- international passport, - a copy of the page with personal data from the passport, - copies of significant pages from the Russian passport, - an online visa application form, - 2 photographs of the established sample, - hotel reservation or invitation, - tickets to the country, - medical insurance policy, - certificate from the place of work, - bank statement.
If you want to submit documents directly to the embassy or consulate general of Germany, then the application form must be filled out online, paper documents will not be accepted for consideration. You need to fill out an electronic questionnaire in English or German.
10 minutes are allocated to fill out the questionnaire, if you exceed this period, the page will automatically reload, and the data will be lost. Therefore, if you need more time to fill out, you should press the button "save the application in computer memory" under each page. When you're done, choose "print" from the menu. The site will form a completed questionnaire form, consisting of four pages, as well as another sheet containing a bar code in which all your data is encrypted.
The questionnaire must be printed on two sheets on both sides, and the sheet with the bar code must be printed separately. It will also come in handy when submitting an application. After printing the questionnaire, you must not forget to sign.
If you made a mistake while filling out the questionnaire, but have already sent an application, then you can correct the already printed paper forms with an electronic questionnaire. To do this, carefully cross out the incorrect information and write the correct information next to it. Do not use a corrector or putty. Each correction should be signed.
Registration at the embassy
Submission of documents to the embassy is made only in person or through an accredited travel agency. You will not be able to use the services of intermediaries and proxies (this is allowed only in visa centers).
To sign up for the visa department of the German Embassy in Moscow, you need to call +7 (499) 681-1365 or +7 (499) 426-0325. The call is free. Line working hours: from 8:30 to 17:00 on weekdays. You should inform the operator of the date and purpose of the planned visit, as well as inform how many people the application will be applied for if the application is made for a group. It is also possible to sign up for a visit to the embassy on the website of the German Visa Application Center.
If you are late for your visit to the visa department of the embassy for more than an hour, the documents will not be accepted for consideration. If the application is group, then the maximum delay time is 30 minutes.
