All Russian citizens need a visa to visit the United States of America. Russians can apply only in their home country. For a tourist visa category B (short stay), the following documents are required.

Step 1
International passport with a free page for pasting a visa. If you have old passports from the last 5 years, which contain visas from the USA, Canada, Great Britain or Schengen countries, it is useful to attach them.

Confirmation that the visa fee has been paid in full is $ 160. You also need confirmation that the DS-160 form has been completed (filled out on the website online). When filling out the application form, you must attach an electronic photo. A paper photograph must be brought to the consulate. Photo size 5x5 cm. The photo must be in color, on a light background.
Step 3
A certificate from the place of work, preferably on a letterhead, which indicates the position, salary, work experience, the name of the director and chief accountant of the company, their contact information. If you are an individual entrepreneur, you will need copies of certificates of registration of an individual entrepreneur and registration with the tax service.
Step 4
Students and schoolchildren must attach a certificate from the place of study. If there are diplomas or certificates, then they also need to be shown.
Step 5
Those who do not pay their expenses on their own need to attach a sponsorship letter from parents, guardians or next of kin, as well as certificates from their work and a bank statement.
Step 6
Financial documents. A recent bank statement is fine. It is also useful to attach copies of tax returns, if any, certificates of investment in real estate or other property, financial assets, marriage certificates and the presence of children.
Step 7
Confirmation of the purpose of the trip. This could be a hotel reservation and travel itinerary, an invitation from the host, a travel voucher, or a printout of the tour. If you are traveling by invitation, the host country must attach a certificate of legality of immigration status in the country.
