Obtaining a passport is a rather lengthy procedure. Today, documents for obtaining it can be submitted in different ways - via the Internet, a travel company, etc. However, the most reliable way is still considered to be the registration of a passport through the OVIR.
It is necessary
- - internal passport;
- - receipt of payment of state duty;
- - certificate from the military registration and enlistment office in form 32;
- - employment history;
- - application form.
Instructions
Step 1
Find the address of your OVIR branch at the place of your registration. In some cases, these services are located directly at the passport office in your area. But most of the departments for the registration of such papers are located at the FMS. Its divisions are also assigned to each of its own area. You can find out your address either through the Internet, or from your neighbors, or through the telephone directory. You can also use the free telephone information service 09 for information.
Step 2
After you find out the address and telephone number of your branch, call them and check the opening hours. You need exactly the time at which documents are accepted - this does not happen every working day. As soon as you know all the information you need, start collecting the documents you need to get your passport.
Step 3
First, there is a questionnaire. Its sample and form can be easily downloaded from the Internet. If this option does not suit you, then you will have to go directly to the OVIR and take the form there. Fill out the questionnaire according to what is asked. As a rule, you will have to register all information about yourself for the last 10 years. All data related to the working period must be signed at work. It is advisable to issue two copies of such a questionnaire.
Step 4
Attach a photocopy of your employment record to your application form. You will also need a photocopy of your internal passport - all the pages on which there are marks are important here. If the passport is not the first for you, then you also need to provide a copy of the previous one. Men under the age of 27 need to take care of the availability of a form 32 certificate from the military registration and enlistment office.
Step 5
Pay the state fee for obtaining a passport. For a new, biometric one, its cost is 2500 rubles for an adult, for an old-style passport - 400 rubles. Attach the receipt of payment to the general package of documents.
Step 6
If you want to make yourself an old-style passport, then take along 4 photos as well. For a biometric passport, you do not need this, since you will be photographed directly at the OVIR itself.
Step 7
Now go to submit your documents on the day that you have been told. Be prepared for small queues, especially during large vacations, i.e. in the summer and before the New Year holidays. When you hand over the documents, you will receive an indication of the date of their issue. On that day, you will come and pick up your new passport.
