Thailand is a very comfortable country for a trip in terms of climate, prices and safety. But what if you do not want to encounter on a trip with a huge number of Russian tourists who are very fond of this country. But even so, you can find places where mostly independent travelers go and where the likelihood of hearing Russian is minimal.
First of all, you need to study the directions where Russian travel agencies sell vouchers. Ahead of the whole planet is Pattaya, where people even travel with families, although the resort itself is not at all intended for family vacations. While in Pattaya, you can forget that you are abroad, and the locals no longer smile at all.
Phuket holds the second place in terms of the number of package tours. Although, most of the vouchers are sold to the beaches of Karon, Patong and Kamala. In the south of the island, you can find quite sparsely populated places, for example, Cha Long or Friendly Beach. Phuket can be reached not only by plane, but also by a comfortable night bus from Hua Hin or Bangkok, as it is connected to the mainland by a bridge.
To a much lesser extent, package tours are sold to Rayong and to the islands of Koh Samui and Chang.
If you flew to Bangkok, then you can go to Hua Hin, this is a city 3, 5 hours drive from Bangkok airport. This is where the king of Thailand currently lives. Hua Hin has a vibrant European atmosphere. Thanks to the steady wind, kitesurfers have chosen this place. If you want to relax and enjoy nature to the fullest, you can go to nearby villages, for example, to Pranburi.
It is also fairly easy to get to the numerous islands. From Bangkok, this can be done either by small planes of low-cost companies, or by bus (or taxi) and ferry.
One of the closest islands to Bangkok is Samet. Tourists come here mainly on day trips. Here you can live in a bungalow right on the beach.
Chang, or elephant island. The noisiest beach is White Sand Beach, but if you take a tuk-tuk to the neighboring beaches, you can find secluded beautiful places.
On Koh Phangan and Koh Samui, you can also easily find places that are not very popular with tourists.
