In order to get to the banks of the Kama River, you need to get to one of the cities located on its banks. The largest are Perm, Berezniki and Naberezhnye Chelny, which are more convenient to get to than others due to the more developed transport infrastructure.

Step 1
Permian. It is the largest city along the entire length of the Kama River. You can get to it by train. Buy a ticket, take a train departing from the Yaroslavsky railway station in Moscow, spend from 21 to 28 hours on the road. The cost of a reserved seat ticket is from 1,300 rubles. The train arrives at the Perm II station, from there you need to get to the Avtovokzal stop by bus 1, change to route 3T or trolleybus 9, get to the river station, and from there walk down to the embankment on foot. Public transport in Perm costs 12 rubles. You can also get to Perm by air, the plane arrives at the Bolshoye Savino airport. Flights are operated by S7, Avianova, Yamal, Aeroflot. Bus 42 runs from the airport to the bus station, from which it is more convenient to get to the river. At night you can take a taxi, the cost starts from 350 rubles.
Step 2
Berezniki. It is a city 180 km north of Perm. You can get to it by regular bus from the bus station. The fare is 335 rubles, buses run daily from 6.20 to 21.45 every 30-40 minutes, travel time is 3.5 hours. You need to get to the stop "Okolitsa", where take bus 23 and go towards the Usolye microdistrict to the bridge over the Kama.
Step 3
Naberezhnye Chelny. Go to this city by train, the cost of a reserved seat ticket is from 1,220 rubles, the travel time is 20 hours 49 minutes. The train departs from the Kazansky railway station. You can also go there by bus from the bus station at the Shchelkovskaya metro station, the ticket price is 1,200 rubles. Or by plane, flights are carried out by UTair and Ak Bars Aero. You can get from the bus station to Kama by any of the buses 1A, 1B, 2, 6, 7, 8, 10, 22, 25, 43, which go along Musa Dzhalil Avenue (the bus station building is located there) and Naberezhnye Chelninsky Avenue. The route runs over the bridge over the Melekescu River, which flows into the Kama very close. The fare in public transport is 15 rubles. All prices are valid as of October 2011.
