Step 1
Train tickets can be returned no later than 4 hours before the train leaves. If you return the ticket more than a day in advance, then the refund occurs without deduction. You can return it at the ticket office of any railway station. Be sure to present the document on which the railway ticket was issued, or a notarized power of attorney from the person in whose name the travel document was purchased.
Step 2
The situation with air tickets is more complicated than with railway tickets. Russian airlines, in accordance with the law, work according to the same rules: you can return any ticket one day or more before departure without deductions (except for the service charge for refunds), less than a day before departure with a deduction of 25% of the cost, and after the start of check-in for the flight You cannot return the ticket.
Step 3
Foreign airlines very often do not refund money for economy class tickets, therefore, when purchasing it, be sure to check the fare rules so that it does not become clear that it is non-refundable only when you are going to surrender it.
Step 4
You can receive money only at the agency in which you purchased the ticket or at the representative office of the airline that is the carrier. To return an e-ticket, you only need to have your passport and a sales receipt issued upon sale. But it will be better if you take with you a printed itinerary receipt - this will make it easier for the cashier to search in the database, and therefore save your time.
Step 5
If you have been issued a paper ticket, you must return it. Undamaged tickets with all flight coupons are accepted for refund. It is also necessary to have a passport or any other identity document.
Step 6
If you buy a ticket for charter flights, you should know that in case of cancellation of the flight, the money for the ticket will be refunded to you only in one case: if you bought tickets in a package with the tour.
