Step 1
Find out if the fare includes a ticket refund option. In most airlines, the conditions are as follows. The money for a business class ticket is fully refundable in any case, additional compensations are possible. The cheapest economy class usually does not provide for ticket refunds at all, whatever your situation. A regular economy class ticket is refundable on flexible terms, depending on when you decide to cancel it. You will most likely have to pay a return penalty.
