A large number of Russians are trying to find out how to get to Egypt by train, while the usual flights remain banned by the government. This country is actually located on another continent, so the train, in any case, remains not the only means of transport on the way to the cherished rest.

Step 1
Given the location of the state, it will not be possible to get to Egypt by train directly, as well as to travel most of the way. At the moment, there are two available methods, one of which is completely safe, but expensive, and the other - requires a lot of effort and is not always possible.
Step 2
The first way to get to Egypt by train and without an airplane assumes that tourists first travel part of the journey by water. In the summer and sometimes in the fall, cruise ships go to Egypt. First you need to purchase a ticket for a suitable tour, which will not be cheap. Most cruises start in Rome, where you have to get there by plane. It is best to choose the one that goes through Alexandria and stops at one of the local ports.
Step 3
In Alexandria, you need to take a train to Cairo (trains run here usually 5-7 times a day). This will be the final leg of the one-way journey. If you nevertheless decide on such a tour, it is worth considering that it is unlikely that you will be able to get back on the cruise ship, since they only go 1-2 times per season. The way back will run by bus across the border with Israel. In Tel Aviv or Eilat, you can take a direct flight to Russia.
Step 4
You can first take a train from Moscow to the Bulgarian city of Sofia, from where you change to a bus to Istanbul. In addition, direct flights from Russia are still flying to Turkey. From here the next bus goes to Antakya via Adana. The further path may be unsafe, since it requires crossing the border with Syria and moving to Latakia. Most parts of Syria are dominated by local militant opposition, but several Russian military formations are located near Latakia, which can provide partial protection to extreme tourists and help get to Lebanon.
Step 5
From Lebanon, you can get to Egypt by train or bus through Israel. From Eilat, land transport goes straight to the border with Egypt. It is worth noting that strict border and customs control operates here, but after successfully passing it, you will be given the opportunity to take a taxi or bus to go, for example, to Sharm al-Sheikh.
