A visa to Turkey is no longer needed. But…
Back in the summer of 2010, an agreement was reached on the bilateral abolition of visas between Turkey and Russia. The changes took effect on April 17, 2011. Therefore, now all tourists planning to stay in Turkey for less than thirty days do not need a visa. But at the same time, there are special conditions for those entering. First, a foreign passport must be valid for at least three months from the date of return to Russia. Second, the tourist must have a voucher for hotel accommodation or a printout of the reservation, or a return plane ticket. Third, the traveler has at least three hundred US dollars. In fact, it is rarely required to present everything specified in the rules. But, nevertheless, this list has not been canceled, and the absence of one of the items may serve as a reason for refusing to enter the country.
Turkey is one of the most popular countries among Russians. About four and a half million domestic tourists visit it annually. And their number is growing every season.
