Denmark is the smallest country of all the Nordic countries. It is also the oldest state in Scandinavia. What do you need to do to get to Denmark? Here are our recommendations.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide on the purpose of your trip. Visit Copenhagen, the ancient capital of Denmark. The air here is as clean as it was hundreds of years ago. The city is just perfect for tourist walks: ancient castles, famous shopping streets and, of course, Tivoli Park - the oldest amusement park in the world. Children will be interested in visiting the monument to the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen, while adults will be entertained by a trip to the museum.
Step 2
Plan your trip time. The climate in Denmark is maritime, winters are mild, and the summer is sunny and clear. However, the winds are quite strong and cold. The most comfortable time to visit Denmark is in July-August, the air temperature at this time of the year is + 16- + 18 ° С.
Step 3
Select an airline. The easiest way to get to Denmark is by plane. The following airlines fly to this country: Aeroflot, SAS, AirBerlin, AirBaltic (connecting flights). Flight time is 2 hours 30 minutes. Denmark can also be reached by ferry, train, bus (travel time 47 hours) and by car (many tourists prefer to travel through Stockholm).
Step 4
Take care of your accommodation. There are two types of hotels in Denmark: hotels that offer guests a full daily diet (one to five stars) and hotels (no more than four stars) where only breakfast is offered. The average cost of a hotel room in a two-star room is 80 euros, in a five-star room - 178 euros.
Step 5
Visa. Please note that Denmark is one of the countries that have signed the Schengen Agreement, so Russians need a visa to visit this country. To obtain a tourist visa, you need to present: a valid passport and two photocopies of its first pages, a visa application form filled in in block letters in English, a questionnaire completed by the applicant, two color photographs 3, 5x4, 5 cm, a hotel reservation, a certificate from the place of work on a letterhead with an indication of the position, salary and work experience (and the salary must be at least 500 euros), bank statement, original and copy of tickets, description of the route by day, original and copy of a medical insurance policy with a coverage amount of at least 30,000 euros. If you need a visa for a private visit, then an invitation from the host must be attached to all the above documents. To obtain a visa, contact the Visa Application Center for Denmark and Iceland. The consular fee is 1430 rubles.
