Instructions
Step 1
Vnukovo International Airport is divided into three parts. Vnukovo-1 is a passenger airport, it is additionally divided into several terminals: A, B and D. Vnukovo-2 is a government terminal, where private or passenger flights are not allowed. Vnukovo-3 is a terminal for business aviation. International IATA code of Vnukovo airport: VKO, Russian code: VNK.
Step 2
Of the three Vnukovo-1 terminals, each has its own function. Terminal A serves regular international and domestic routes. International charter and regular flights fly from Terminal B, while Terminal D only accepts domestic flights from the North Caucasus, there are no departures from it. Airplanes that have landed on the territory of terminal D fly from territory B. Passengers, in order to get from one terminal to another, need to leave the terminal building and walk to the next airport gate.
Step 3
International Terminal A is divided into several levels, so arriving and departing passengers are separated from each other, which helps maintain adequate security. On the -1 floor there is an underground Aeroexpress stop, UTair self-check-in counters and a left-luggage office. Self-check-in counters for other companies are located on the ground floor. It is located at ground level, where the entrance to the terminal from the street is located. The arrival area is also equipped here: passengers go through customs inspection and receive their luggage. There is a waiting room for those who meet arrivals, you can have a snack, buy souvenirs, drink coffee. The airline ticket offices are also located on the ground floor.
Step 4
If you arrive by car, then from the overpass you can go directly to the second floor of Terminal A. It is there that the departure area is located: check-in counters, various types of control, duty-free area, etc. Boarding gates (or gates) for domestic flights are on the left, and for international flights on the right. The waiting room is located on the third floor, from there you can also go to boarding. You can move between floors using elevators and escalators, in some areas there are travelators. Wherever necessary, ramps for people with disabilities have been erected. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout Terminal A.
Step 5
International Terminal B currently serves charter flights and some international regular routes, but in the future it will focus only on charter flights, the rest of the flights will be moved to Terminal A. On the ground floor there is a passenger check-in and an arrivals hall, there is also the necessary infrastructure for booking tickets, taxi or leisure. The boarding gate is located from the second floor, and baggage control is also performed here.
Step 6
Terminal D is the oldest in Vnukovo. Flights arrive at it only from the North Caucasus, since their service requires special inspection and security standards. The closure and demolition of this terminal is planned in the future.
