Not so long ago, it became possible to issue a passport in two ways. The first - traditional - to contact the Office of the Federal Migration Service at the place of registration. The second - high-tech - to send an application for the issuance of a document through the portal of public services.
Instructions
Step 1
To obtain a foreign passport, you need to collect a certain set of documents, no matter which method you choose. It includes:
- an application for a passport. You can fill in and send it using the portal https://www.gosuslugi.ru/. Or save it on your computer and print it by downloading a sample from the link
- general civil passport;
- confirmation of payment of the registration fee (receipt);
- two photographs for a biometric passport, three for a five-year document. They can be colored or black and white. The main thing is that the pictures are matte, and the image is in an oval with feathering. A photo for a biometric passport is taken by a special device at the Office of the Federal Migration Service when submitting documents. The pictures that you brought with you are necessary for the questionnaire, which will be stored in the archive;
- a certificate from a military registration and enlistment office or a military ID. For men of military age only;
- a permission from the command issued in accordance with the established procedure - for employees of the active army of the Russian Federation;
- old passport, if a new one is made before its expiration date.
Step 2
Apply with the set of documents to the district Office of the Federal Migration Service. Phones, addresses and working hours can be found on the website https://www.permufms.ru/. Questions to the Main Directorate regarding the paperwork can be asked by writing a letter and sending it to [email protected].
Step 3
During the first visit, the employees of the district department of the FMS will check the correctness of registration of securities and send them to the main department. There they check the specified personal data with the real ones, confirming the authenticity of the information. This takes up to three weeks. Then the foreign passport is printed and sent to the department at the place of registration.
Step 4
To draw up a foreign document through the site https://www.gosuslugi.ru/, register on it. This procedure takes place in three stages. First, passwords for creating an account are sent to your email and mobile phone. Then the code to confirm registration is sent by regular mail, which will come to the place of registration. After that, you can fill out a questionnaire for the issuance of a passport.
Step 5
After sending the questionnaire, the employees of the district department of the FMS will contact you and set a time for the transfer of the original documents. In about a week, the new passport will be ready.
