Step 1
First of all, get an invitation. It must be from an American resident. The inviting party receives a document in your name, in which he writes his data, place of residence. Also, this document must contain the address of your place of residence in the United States and the date. If the consulate wishes to verify your friendship, the staff may ask you to provide you with other documents (for example, photographs).
Step 2
Make sure that a copy of your friend's passport or a copy of health insurance is attached to the invitation - this is necessary in order to prove that he lives in the United States. If a friend is in the country on the basis of a visa, you will need a copy of it.
Step 3
Take a certificate of income from the place of work (2-NDFL), you will also need a copy of the order granting you leave (the order must be certified by the head of the organization). If you are an entrepreneur, take a certificate from the bank about open current accounts. Also, the consulate will ask you to provide a certificate of the property owned.
Step 4
Take a photo at a dedicated photo studio. The size of the picture should be 5 * 5 cm, it should be in color.

Fill out the visa application form. You can get it at the consulate or on the website of the US Department of State. Glue a photo to the application form in the appropriate field.
Step 6
Collect all documents in one package. Attach your passport to it. Pay all required fees at the consulate.
Step 7
Within a few weeks, the consular officer will check the data, after which you will be called for an interview. Be prepared to be fingerprinted. After a while, you will be given a passport with an open visa.
