Two beautiful corn-like towers rise in the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. From above, they look like eight-pointed stars, which in Islam symbolizes integrity. Petronas Towers is an international building, although it is made in Islamic style. It was designed by Argentine architect Cesar Pelli with the participation of Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, and built by Japanese and South Korean companies.
After surveying, they chose a place, laid the foundation, which is considered the largest concrete foundation in the world. The cost of buildings for the customer is $ 800 million, the total area is almost 40 hectares.
As is the case in countries with warm climates, special materials were needed for the construction. Steel in Malaysia would not have been enough for such a construction, so it was decided to invent an elastic and at the same time particularly durable concrete with the addition of quartz, which was produced in the country. The towers turned out to be much heavier in comparison with other similar ones, but there is a guarantee of strength.

Tours to the Petronas Towers are strictly organized: from 9 to 20 hours on weekdays, a limited number of visitors are accepted, tickets are sold from 8.30. Friday is the day of prayer, so the day is shortened. The tour includes a story about the towers and a visit to two observation platforms - on the 86th floor and on the glass bridge. Cultural centers work according to a different schedule - it is better to clarify the schedule.
Up to 300 people come here a day, and not everyone fits into the allotted time frame, so it is better to buy tickets in advance. The cost of the excursion for 1 person is about 1300 rubles, or 85 ringgit.

1. Take the metro to the KLCC station. There are several exits here, it is better to immediately go to the Suria shopping center - it is just under the towers. This is the easiest option.
2. If you want to see the city, you should take the monorail and get off at Bukit Nanas station.
