If you want to work in Canada, you need to obtain a work visa, otherwise your position in the country will be illegal. Unlike a regular visa, obtaining a work visa has a number of features.

Step 1
Get a package of documents from your employer. He must grant permission from the HRSDC (stands for Human Resources Development Canada). A permit is issued if it is proved that there is no specialist in the country who could take this position.
Step 2
Your employer should send you an invitation letter. It should be on the letterhead of the company, which contains its name and information about the name of the person who can be contacted on this issue, his phone number and address. The letter must indicate your future position, the period for which you are invited, the planned salary, possible benefits.
Step 3
Get a contract signed by both parties. If you plan to work in Quebec, you need to obtain a Certificate of Consent for Temporary Work from the Ministry of Immigration and Culture of this province.
Step 4
On your part, you must provide the consulate with an extract from your bank account. Remember that the account must have funds. Also, take care of obtaining a certificate from your place of work, which should indicate the name of your position, monthly salary, length of service at this place of work, leave to travel to Canada. If you are married, please provide your spouse's employment certificate.
Step 5
Also provide the consular section with a copy of your work record, certified by the HR department; a copy of all pages of the Russian passport; copies of documents confirming ownership.
Step 6
After collecting all these documents, go to the consulate. Take with you your passport, the validity of which must be at least 6 months after the expiration of the visa period; two color photographs (the photograph must be taken on a white background, 3, 5 by 4, 5 centimeters); certificate of marriage and birth of children.
Step 7
At the consulate, fill out the visa application form in English. Only by providing all these documents, you can expect to receive a work visa.
