You can climb to the height of a bird's eye view, almost under the very clouds, look at London from an unusual angle and enjoy the breathtaking aerial panorama, by visiting one of the most beloved attractions by tourists - the London Eye. The height from which is breathtaking and only emotionally enthusiastic interjections burst from the chest … Bus, car and walking excursions, a little boring for curious tourists, recede into the background in the light of the perspective of an air adventure. Located on the south side of the Thames, the London Eye offers its guests a new kind of walking - airy. In an elongated transparent booth, you will travel to a bird's-eye view to look at London, its domains and surroundings from a slightly different angle. Reaching exactly the middle, you will find yourself at the peak of the height. And this is about 45 floors of a skyscraper.
From this point, a mesmerizing view of London opens up - foggy and mysterious, dry and prim, stretching along the banks of the river. The attraction was built at the turn of two millennia and, being launched on December 31, 1999, solemnly marked the transition from the second millennium to the third. At that time, not only England, but also many other countries participated in the race of wit and invention and, spending their imagination at full power, prepared for the coming century, refining in ingenuity.
The British managed to surpass themselves, and until 2008 the London Eye, aka Millennium, was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world. And then he lost the Singaporean “palm” to a similar attraction, built a little higher. It looks really impressive. Especially at night, grief in different ways, he resembles the all-seeing eye from the works of Tolkien.
Only with a different character, not evil and insidious, but a kind of guardian who looks after the city and protects it. Now, while the London Eye is “afloat,” hundreds of tourists have learned about it, and a trip on it has become one of the exciting adventures that must be visited.

The structure of the attraction is very symbolic. There are exactly thirty-two egg-shaped booths in it according to the number of London districts. Each booth weighs ten tons and can accommodate twenty-five people. There are air conditioners inside for a comfortable journey. The ride moves quite smoothly, so it does not stop to pick up and drop off passengers, but spins constantly. In general, the idea itself was designed for a short time, it should have existed for only five years. But Londoners and tourists were so imbued with this idea that they did not disassemble it and left it to the city. Now this attraction is one of the most beloved for both locals and tourists. At the height of the tourist season, from May 27 to September 3, the opening hours of the attraction are from 10.00 to 20.30.
From September the attraction switches to the autumn schedule. A standard adult ticket costs $ 26, a child ticket - $ 21. Children up to four years old ride for free. Travel to the London Eye can be done independently.
