Altai and Kamchatka - a miracle of nature
Russian nature is not as lush and colorful as, for example, in the areas located near the equator, but it is replete with very beautiful objects. Altai Mountains are beautiful alpine meadows, untouched forests, mountain lakes, an amazing variety of flora and fauna. The stormy rivers Biya and Katun originate from the Altai glaciers, the confluence of which forms the Ob River - one of the largest and deepest in Russia. The cleanest air and an abundance of plants - endemic (that is, growing only in this region) make this region a real paradise for beekeepers. Altai honey is rightfully considered one of the most delicious and healthy.
The highest point in Altai is Mount Belukha, which reaches 4506 meters above sea level.
Kamchatka, a huge peninsula located at the farthest eastern tip of Russia, is a real natural wonder. Because the Valley of Geysers, famous all over the world, is located there. It is such a magnificent and grandiose spectacle that even the loudest words will not be enough to describe it. Unfortunately, due to the great remoteness of Kamchatka and the special regime of the Kronotsky Biosphere Reserve, where this valley is located, the number of visitors to this wonderful valley is very limited.
This natural miracle almost died in 2007, after heavy rainfall caused the valley to be covered with a landslide.
Fortunately, new, even stronger rainstorms soon washed away the natural dam, and the valley cleared up.
There are many beautiful places in Kamchatka and in addition to the Valley of Geysers.
Lena Pillars - the main attraction of the great river
The Lena River, which flows in Eastern Siberia, is about 4,400 kilometers long. There are many beautiful natural sites on its shores. But the most famous and grandiose of them, of course, is the Lena Pillars. According to geologists, this miracle of nature began to form in the Cambrian period, about 550 million years ago. From a geological point of view, this process ended quite recently - 400 thousand years BC.
For many kilometers, severe gigantic rocks hang over the river water. Their height reaches 100 meters. The shape of these rocks is extremely varied and bizarre. Lena Pillars make a great impression on the person who first saw them.
It is difficult to compile even a short list of the most places in our homeland. After all, there are so many of them, and each place is beautiful in its own way! The Caucasian mountains, the Astrakhan floodplains with blooming lotuses, the Siberian taiga, the Karelian lakes, and waterfalls are beautiful in their own way.
